Mobile Installation

The Boat

Barry went on the road to install mobile audio equipment on a friend's 1994 37-foot Sea-Ray pleasure boat. Installation consisted of relocating the existing Clarion AM/FM/CD player from the main cabin to the captain's helm. The cockpit was also wired with (4) new 6-inch speakers and (2) new 10-inch sub-woofers under the cockpit seat to complement the (4) existing 6-inch speakers in the rear lounge area/deck. The cockpit also received (3) amplifiers and a stiffening capacitor for extra power.

The main cabin was upgraded with a new Kenwood AM/FM/DVD Bluetooth unit wired to (2) existing 6-inch speakers in the front sleeping quarters, two new 6-inch coaxial speakers, an existing 10-inch sub-woofer, an amplifier and a stiffening capacitor to provide additional voltage in 'high-draw' situations.
